Alumni Leaders Scholarship 🛩️ JA Global Alumni Summit 🌍🇵🇹

Hello JA Alumni and Leaders ;)

We’re excited to announce a scholarship opportunity for JA alumni leaders who want to attend the JA Global Alumni Summit. Open to alumni from all over the world, these scholarships will cover airfare and conference fees for qualified alumni. 

Current* and aspiring** JA alumni leaders may apply for a fully paid scholarship to travel and participate in the JA Global Alumni Summit in Porto, Portugal.

🌟 Scholarship Application Criteria:

1. Demonstrated Leadership: Applicants should have a track record of leadership within their local community, school, or workplace. This could include organizing events, leading teams, or initiating projects that have made a positive impact.

2. Commitment to JA Values: Applicants should align with JA’s values, including integrity, teamwork, innovation, and entrepreneurship. They should demonstrate a strong commitment to empowering young people and fostering economic success.

3. Interest in Global Engagement: Applicants should express a genuine interest in participating in global initiatives and engaging with diverse perspectives. They should be open-minded, culturally aware, and eager to collaborate with peers from different backgrounds.

4. Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are essential for effective participation in the summit. Applicants should be able to articulate their ideas clearly, engage in meaningful dialogue, and contribute positively to group discussions and activities.

5. Financial Need: While financial need will not be the sole determining factor, preference may be given to applicants who require financial assistance to cover travel and visa expenses.

🌍 Application process: Application period opens April 11. We are accepting applications through May 20 but we’re enrolling qualified JA alumni leaders on an ongoing basis. The earlier you apply the higher your chances are to get enrolled into the scholarship opportunity. The number of scholarships depends on qualified candidates and partner requirements. 

The scholarships are very limited, so act fast. 

*A current alumni leader is either the president or a board member of a JA alumni network in your location?

**Aspiring alumni leader means there is either no established alumni network in your JA location or you would like to take on the role of JA alumni leader (president or board member) in your location.
