JA Worldwide Board of Governors Meet with JA Alumni Presidents
A group of JA alumni presidents facilitated one-on-one conversations with the JA Worldwide Board of Governors throughout February. JA alumni shared their JA journey and got to know the world’s foremost business leaders, including the Global Chief Marketing Officer of EY and the CEO of Avanade.
Matthew Hui, JA Hong Kong SAR—China Alumni President, said, “I am truly honored to have the privilege of conversing with four of JA Worldwide’s Board of Governors, including Charles Moyela, Zabeen Hirji, Fahd Jamaleddine, and Shannon Schuyler. From the conversations, I observed their passion and effort paid to the JA community, with the aim of impacting youth globally and allowing them to experience life-changing moments and insights through JA. I learned from them how to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to maximize our impact effectively. They gave me insights on fostering collaboration, building partnerships, and managing relationships with sponsors, partner organizations, local schools, and communities. By channeling and exchanging resources from different parties, we can build capacity for the alumni community and ensure the sustainability of the JA community.”
JA Worldwide intends to make these one-on-one calls a regular opportunity for JA alumni leaders to connect and learn from the Board of Governors. If you're a JA alumni leader and interested in signing up for next year, please email [email protected].
